“Peter Gallway played electric and acoustic guitars, bass guitar and percussion during the recording in their own studio, while Annie Gallup played electric guitar and lap steel guitar. Joe Wainer played drums on these songs. The beautiful album title track “Twenty-Nine And Gone” (see video) tells the life story of country legend Hank Williams who died on January 1, 1953 at the age of 29 in Oak Hill, West Virginia as a result of alcoholism and drug use.
That the sources of inspiration for songwriting are far from exhausted for both talented musicians is evident from the quality of the ten songs on “29 & Gone”. The often intimate and atmospheric songs follow each other in quick succession and the ever-surprising stories that the duo tells in those songs manage to hold your attention from beginning to end.” – Rootstime.be
